One of the highlights of our tours is the incredible variety of flora and fauna encountered along the way—an experience that is truly unique for most visitors.

Our routes take us through the paradise-like trails of the Nosara region, allowing us to admire breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, coastal biodiversity, tropical dry forests, and stunning viewpoints along the climbs.

Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy alternative activities such as paddle boarding, surfing, yoga, and hiking.

  • Tours operate with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 participants.
  • A 25% deposit is required to reserve your spot, payable via payment link or bank transfer.
  • The remaining balance must be paid 30 days prior to the tour start date.
  • Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the tour date: the 25% deposit is non-refundable.
  • Cancellations within 29 days of the tour start date: no refunds will be issued.
  • In the event of date changes requested by the client or the organization, the 25% deposit will be honored, and the remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the new tour date.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at Daniel Oduber International Airport (Liberia) or Nosara Airport. Transfer to Lagarta Lodge Hotel. Welcome meeting, bike fitting, and a welcome dinner to close the day.

Day 2
Difficulty : Moderate
Pachamama Route 2

We start at Playa Guiones and ride toward Playa Ostional, climbing to the Pachamama community where we reach a scenic viewpoint. After descending toward Culiacán and Río Montaña, we connect with Route 160 before crossing the hanging bridge and returning to Playa Guiones.
(Approx. duration: 2.5 hours)

Pachamama Route 3 (Optional)

A variation with additional climbs, photo stops, river crossings, and trails leading back to Playa Guiones.

Day 3
Difficulty : Challenging
A demanding day that tests endurance. We ride from Playa Guiones to Playa Venado, climb toward Finca Trinidad, descend to San Juanillo, and return via Playa Ostional and Santa Marta. (Approx. duration: 4 hours, moderate pace)

Day 4
Difficulty : Challenging
A demanding day that tests endurance. We ride from Playa Guiones to Playa Venado, climb toward Finca Trinidad, descend to San Juanillo, and return via Playa Ostional and Santa Marta. (Approx. duration: 4 hours, moderate pace)

Day 5
Difficulty : Moderate

A challenging climb to Cerro San Juan with panoramic views of Playa Pelada, Playa Garza, Playa Guiones, and Playa Barco Quebrado, followed by a long descent to Playa Garza. Optional beach ride back if tide conditions allow.
(Approx. duration: 2.5 hours)

Alternative option: Boquete Route (28 km) or a trip to the Nosara Biological Reserve

Day 6
Difficulty : Demanding
A long climb followed by an adventurous descent crossing the river 32 times, finishing with a beach ride back to Playa Guiones. (Approx. duration: 3.5 hours)

Transfer to Daniel Oduber International Airport or Nosara Airport for return home.

Nutrition During the Rides

During rides, we provide easy-to-carry sandwiches, bananas, and light snacks. Along the route, there are several stops where additional drinks and snacks can be purchased.

Lunch

Upon return, an à la carte lunch awaits, including an appetizer, main course, dessert, and a beverage (natural drink, house wine, local beer, or house cocktail).

Dinner

The hotel restaurant is open nightly from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m., offering à la carte options including vegetarian and vegan dishes, as well as accommodations for dietary restrictions.

Drinks

Water is included with all meals. A full bar is available with local wines and a variety of beverages for purchase.

Meals Outside the Hotel

Guests who wish to experience the local gastronomy will find a wide variety of restaurants nearby, especially in the Playa Guiones and Playa Pelada areas.
